Erykah Badu will not only be a headliner at this year's Essence Festival alongside Janet Jackson and Mary J. Blige—she'll also be headlining the Field Day Festival in London this June.

Also on the bill for the festival are Princess Nokia, Thundercat, Madlib, Jordan Rakei, Children Zeus, The Comet Is Coming, Donna Leake, Gilles Peterson, Earl Sweatshirt and more.

Although Erykah recently told Vulture that she's not necessarily working on a new album right now, she's still vibing with various sounds.

"You know what’s funny? I’m thinking about music, but it’s all about tuning forks, singing bowls, bells, drums," she said in the interview. "I went to South Africa and recorded drums from Soweto, from Johannesburg, just gathering sounds. That’s what I’m interested in right now — sound vibration. If I put out another project, it’ll be like that. Maybe I’m humming or primal wailing or tribal moaning. You know, I haven’t written anything in five years?"

Either way, she's staying busy. A couple months ago it was announced that she was celebrating Fela Kuti in a limited edition box set. Badu personally selected the seven album featured in the collection, dubbed "Fela Kuti Box Set No. 4," which includes Fela’s 1980 effort Cfin For Head State, the 1979 LP V.I.P. and his 1984 effort, Army Arrangement. Badu also penned the liner notes for each the seven albums that were curated for the box set.

She performed a mash-up Fela's "Sorrow, Tears and Blood" on the Tonight Show back in December.

As for the festival, the two-day event kicks f on June 1and takes place at Brockwell Park in south London. Tickets are available here.
