Hailing from Vallejo, Ca E-40 and B-Legit have formed an unbreakable bond, spanning more than four decades friendship. Fast forward to present day, and the Bay Area cousins are gearing up for the release their joint album, Connected & Respected. Friday (March 16) the pair tap P-LO The HBK Gang for the funky video single “Boy.”
The West Coast-influenced visual features a boisterous crowd surrounding the various rounds dance battles taking place within the vacant warehouse. Forty and Legit each grab a clipboard and begin drawing up formations for the respective teams they attempt to coach for the upcoming clash. The famed Jabbawockeez even make a cameo in the competition.
Before coming to a close the crew attempts their own rendition the Smeeze for the “SmeezeBoyChallenge,” which could very well be the next dance to become a viral sensation.
On Wednesday (March 14) the 50-year-old E-40 joined Ebro Darden on Beats 1 to provide some insight behind the single. “Boy in the Bay area means a factor, a fixture or a boss,” he explains. “One them ones. So that's a boy. When someone says, 'What you think about homeboy?' Man, he's a boy,”
