Washington, D.C. – Pepsi celebrated Black History Month by presenting its inaugural Historically Better Gala at The Howard Theatre in Washington D.C. on Monday (February 24). The event was hosted by former 106 & Park host Terrence J, Power star Naturi Naughton and The Breakfast Club’s Angela Yee and DJ Envy.

The gala honored the achievements of Hip Hop pioneer Doug E. Fresh, the WNBA’s Washington Mystics, Dr. Angela Reddix and First Sgt. Joshua Toles, among others. The late Allen McKellar Jr. was also commemorated for being one of the first black professionals to break the color barrier at PepsiCo.
