Columbia, SC – As the stage continues to set for the 2020 Democratic presidential candidacy, the remaining politicians are pulling out all the stops in efforts they can face off against Donald Trump in November.

Even if it means piggybacking off Hip Hop in the most bizarre way possible.

Enter Democratic presidential candidate and billionaire Tom Steyer, who took the stage with Cash Money legend Juvenile during the South Carolina primary on Saturday (February 29).

Of the hundreds of songs in the Hot Boys’ catalog, it was “Back That Thang Up” — the clean version of the iconic hit “Back That Azz Up” — that propelled Steyer to the stage.

According to FOX News, DJ Jazzy Jeff and gospel royalty Yolanda Adams were also there. A sound issue reportedly left them unable to produce any more viral moments.

The random performance left many social media onlookers stunned and even prompted Meek Mill to label the spectacle “Culture Currency” when he retweeted GroovyTracks’s clip of the video.

While speaking to CNN, the 62-year-old Steyer attempted to pass his rapping and twerking off as a watershed moment saying, “We are talking about really serious things here. We are talking about people who are working for inadequate wages and can’t live on it. People who are dying because the health care’s so bad. We’re talking about kids who aren’t getting the chance to get the chance to be educated about environmental injustice where people are being poisoned. About racial injustice that’s gone on for centuries.

“But let’s also remember that life can be really fun. And all I was doing last night was having a little fun. And I’d hate to think that the American political culture is so toxic … actually Juvenile is a really nice guy and he was teasing me to come up and show my moves and I was like, ‘O.K. baby, here we go!’ So that was just a little bit of fun and if the culture is so bad where you can’t have fun, I think something is wrong.”

Shortly after the interview aired, Juvenile officially endorsed Steyer on his Instagram account.

Along with Steyer, Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg, Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar and Joe Biden are participating in Saturday’s primary.
