Common, Rapsody and more look to take a stand in honor of the lost lives of Breonna Taylor, Atatiana Jefferson and Ahmaud Arbery by heading to the Kentucky State Capitol in Frankfort, where a rally demanding justice is being held on Thursday (June 25).
“We. Do. It. For. Breonna.,” tweeted Common Wednesday in response to United Freedom’s tweet about heading to Frankfort. He continued to apply pressure by pleading for the arrests of the officers involved in killing Taylor: “Today would be a good day to finally arrest the cops who murdered #BreonnaTaylor.”
Alicia Keys also chimed in with a message on Twitter, advocating for support during Thursday’s rally. In honor of the @untilfreedom rally happening TOMORROW in Kentucky. I wanted to share this with you. This is for the fight for #JusticeForBreonnaTaylor and ALL the lives we’ve lost too soon! Keep going!!”
The rally is taking place as the families of both Taylor and Arbery arrive in Frankfort, and speeches are currently underway. Common, MC Lyte and Raspody are expected to be in attendance.
