The unnamed male, who was a Cardi B fan before being admitted into the nearest ER, reportedly caught the “I Do” rapper leaving the Mark Hotel, asking her for an autograph on her way out a Met Gala after party.

When Cardi said no, the fan persisted, calling himself “an autograph hound.” As the man got closer and closer to the mommy-to-be, Cardi’s security detail stepped in.

Over Zealous

“It looks like someone in her entourage intervened and pushed and punched the victim to the ground,” a police source told Buzzfeed.

TMZ obtained a video showing the man being punched and kicked to the ground by three security guards around 2 AM. Nearly a half an hour later, the fan was being loaded into an ambulance.

According to BuzzFeed, the man, who was admitted to Columbia Presbyterian hospital, is said to be stable.

What else is stable? For now… Cardi B and Nicki Minaj’s relationship.

The two rappers shared a quick, friendly chat, according to People. “Moschino designer Jeremy Scott — who designed Cardi’s jewel-covered, bead-encrusted dress and headpiece — watched as the pair chatted and caught up at the annual event,” the outlet reported.

The encounter was a stark difference from what anyone could have expected, especially after Nicki’s tearful interview with Beats 1. Shortly after releasing new music mid April, the star chatted with Zane Lowe, touching on her and hip-hop’s newest Cardi.

“With Cardi B, she’s done exactly what she should have done. She’s just gone full steam ahead, and congradulations to her,” Nicki began. “The only thing with Cardi that really, really, really hurt my feelings was the first interview she did after ‘MotorSport’ came out.”

Rocking a fresh face and long black hair, Nicki used her own experience in the rap industry as an example before making her point about Cardi. She remembered herself as young artist, saying, “I remember when I first came in the game, if a female that stature had done a feature with me on it, I would only be singing their praises and saying thank you.”

Referencing Cardi’s radio interview with UK’s Capital Xtra, Nicki continued, “The first interview Cardi] did after ‘MotorSport’ came out… It just really hurt me. Cause she looked so aggravated and angry.” She added, “The only thing she kept saying was ‘Oh, I didn’t hear that,’ ‘I didn’t hear that verse,’ ‘I didn’t hear that,’ ‘She changed her verse.’”
