Brotherly Love Flying High: Washington Wizards vs. Philadelphia Sixers (2-6-18) (Recap)

You could still feel the energy from Sunday’s big Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl 52 victory here tonight at the Wells Fargo Center. As the city Philadelphia gears up for its very first Super Bowl parade on Thursday (Feb 8th), tonight the Sixers hit the court to host the Washington Wizards. The Sixers continued the Eagles winning ways picking up a (115-102) victory tonight in South Philly.

The NBA trade deadline is approaching this Thursday and as rumors grow on the Sixers possibly added to their roster, the guys took the court tonight for a primetime TNT matchup and they controlled the flow all night long.

The young Sixers are learning how to win and how to closeout games late in the fourth quarter and they needed every ounce that experience tonight. The Sixers were led tonight by big man Joel Embiid. Embiid finished the night with 27 points going (10-20) from the field along with 12 rebounds. Sixers forward Dario Saric was also effective tonight for Philly. Saric finished the night with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Sixers rookie Ben Simmons controlled the pace tonight on the floor for Philly. Simmons finished the game with 15 points

For the Wizards, they are still finding their way on the floor as all-star point guard John Wall missed tonight’s action dealing with a knew injury. Bradley Beal was the leading scorer for Washington as he finished the game with 30 points. Wizards swingman Otto Porter Jr. followed that up with 17 points on (8-16) shooting from the field. In his return to his hometown Philly, Wizards big man Markieff Morris finished the night with 11 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assist.
