Lil Mosey cracks the top 10 of Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart for the first time as “Blueberry Faygo” rises 11-10 on the chart dated April 18. The tune ascends in its ninth week thanks to radio breakthroughs that bolster already strong streaming numbers.
“Faygo” is Mosey’s fourth entry on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. He previously reached as high as No. 30 with “Stuck in a Dream,” a collaboration with Gunna, last November.
For the current chart, “Faygo” registered 19.9 million U.S. streams in the week ending April 9, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, a 4% dip from the prior week. Despite the slide, it still ranks at its No. 5 peak on the R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs chart for a second straight frame. The single also sold 2,000 downloads in the same period.
Radio airplay – what was the key missing element for “Faygo” – is making up for lost time, as the song shoots 12-20 on the Rhythmic Songs airplay chart in its fifth week on the list. There, the tune picks up a 21% boost in plays in the week ending April 12, according to Nielsen Music.
Rhythmic play leads the way, “Faygo” also rises 24-22 in its second week on Rap Airplay through a 22% audience boost, while it debuts at the No. 50 anchor spot on R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay with a 2.5 million audience yield, up 17%.
Elsewhere, “Faygo” remains at No. 7 on Hot Rap Songs and scoots 19-18 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100.
