Skippack Township, PA – Snoop Dogg made it abundantly clear how he felt about Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King earlier this week. On Thursday (February 6), Uncle Snoop blasted the two media heavyweights for appearing to consistently go after famous black men while defending powerful white men.
“Did that fake ass micheal Jackson shit to tarnish his name with them lying ass kids and here she is with a known rapist smiling and laughing,” he wrote alongside an Instagram photo of Winfrey with Harvey Weinstein. “Fuck u and Gayle. Free bill Cosby.”
Evidently, Cosby — who is currently serving three to 10 years in prison after being convicted of drugging and sexually assaulting former Temple University employee Andrea Constand at his Philadelphia home in 2004 — heard about Snoop’s outrage and decided to thank the veteran West Coast MC for advocating for his freedom.
“@SnoopDogg when they brought me to my gated community and placed me inside of my penthouse, they didn’t win nor did they silence me,” the tweet from Cosby’s verified Twitter account read. “It’s so sad and disappointing that successful Black Women are being used to tarnish the image and legacy of successful Black Men even in death.”

In a separate tweet, Cosby added, “Are these people that in need of fame, ratings and/or money? On behalf of myself, Camille and my family, thank you, thank you and thank you. My heartfelt prayers are with Kobe and his family, as well as with Michael Jackson and his family. May their legacies live on forever.”

King is under fire for an interview she did with WNBA legend and Kobe Bryant’s good friend Lisa Leslie. During their conversation, she brought up Bryant’s 2003 sexual assault case and asked Leslie if that makes his legacy more “complicated” for her.
Leslie quickly shut down the topic, saying, “I don’t think it’s something that we should keep hanging over his legacy.”

Several people were outraged King would bring it up considering Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven other people were just killed in a helicopter crash late last month. Since the interview aired, Winfrey said King has received multiple death threats and is in fear for her life.
Winfrey, on the other hand, has received plenty of criticism after stepping in to executive produce a documentary called On The Record about one of Russell Simmons’ sexual assault accusers Drew Dixon.
After Simmons called her out on Instagram, she later stepped down from her role but insisted it had nothing to do with public pressure from Simmons. Pete Rock, 50 Cent, Snoop, Cosby and Simmons are just a handful of celebrities questioning Winfrey’s motives.
