"Underground Meets Mainstream: Juliano's "Adios" Bridges Hip-Hop Generations

South Boston producer and audio engineer Jouls Juliano‘s latest single “Adios” features acclaimed rappers Slaine (Boston) and Ruste Juxx (Brooklyn). The collaboration emerged from Juliano’s deep connections in Boston’s hip-hop scene, where he has spent years honing his craft.

The track marks Juliano’s momentum from his previous works including the “Red Line” EP and single “187,” produced with collaborator Seefour.

“No matter what I do in life or where life takes me, I always come back to making music,” says Juliano, whose production style draws from hip-hop pioneers like Dr. Dre, Timbaland, and Just Blaze.

Slaine, known for his role in “The Town” and gritty storytelling, joins forces with Ruste Juxx, a protégé of Sean Price recognized in underground hip-hop circles. Their features add veteran firepower to Juliano’s meticulous production.

Juliano has built his reputation through projects like “Live from the Lab,” an Instagram series showcasing real-time beat-making and recording sessions with artists. His journey began mixing tracks on PlayStation’s Funk Master Flex Digital Hitz Factory before advancing to professional production.

Industry insiders who have heard early versions of “Adios” describe it as a perfect synthesis of old-school hip-hop sensibilities and modern production techniques. The track demonstrates Jouls Juliano‘s signature style – hard-hitting drums layered with intricate samples and atmospheric elements that create a distinctive sonic landscape.
