NLE Choppa and Blockboy JB are definitely feeling Pop Smoke’s new album.
The pair were hanging out over the holiday weekend on Sunday (July 5), bumping the title track from Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon as they smoked and threw up several gang signs. Masks and social distancing weren’t on the agenda, however.
Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon was released Friday (July 3) and almost instantaneously took over the top 15 slots on iTunes’ music charts. It’s also on track for a No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200, with Hits Daily Double estimating sales around 175,000 to 195,000 equivalent album units.
The 19-track posthumous effort serves as Pop’s studio debut and features the likes of Quavo, Lil Baby, DaBaby, Future, Roddy Ricch, Tyga and more. Fans were upset about the latter’s appearance, as well as Diddy’s son King Combs, feeling like Pop wouldn’t have approved some of the features if he was still around. But, Tyga shared receipts proving Pop personally reached out.

King Combs appears on a track called “Diana,” which apparently Calboy was supposed to appear on as well. In fact, they kept the Chicago rapper’s ad-libs on it but took him off, which resulted in him speaking out against Pop’s team on Twitter.
“On Wesley grave y’all bogus asf for taking me off pop smoke album,” he wrote on Friday. “But then keep my fucking adlibs….two days before my boy passed away we was planning a vid wit me combs n him ..how y’all play it like tht ..ion respect that shit at all …@POPSMOKE10 out now !!”

Calboy later apologized for making the moment about himself and promoted the album further.
