The rapper vents about the lack of youth voter turnout

Cardi B is heated about Bernie Sanders suspending his presidential campaign. She’s not mad at Sanders, though, but rather at all those fired-up young’uns who were totally down to rock out at the Vermont Senator’s massive rallies featuring cool bands but seemingly didn’t show up in big enough numbers to help the fiercely independent 78-year-old socialist Democrat rack up enough votes to defeat his rival, former Vice President Joe Biden.

So she did what Cardi does and she got on her Instagram Stories to read those stay-at-home not-voters the riot act. “I’m really upset at everybody, because as you guys know… Bernie dropped out of the race,” Cardi said in a post, in which she rocked a white towel on her head, some round shades and a tropical-themed robe. “I see a lot of young people on the Internet always lying. Y’all motherf—ers, y’all young motherf—rs. I’m getting sick of y’all. Like I’m getting sick of y’all. I’m about to start hanging out with my grandma’s friends. Because they vote. Y’all motherf—ers don’t vote, and that sh– is getting me tight.”

Cardi, who was a longtime supporter of Sanders’, said she saw a lot of hot talk on Twitter about how much young voters loved the two-time presidential candidate, but when push came to shove and it was time to choose the Medicare for All candidate, “Y’all wasn’t voting, y’all wasn’t voting… what the f— was up with that?” Then she dropped some politics 101 knowledge that should be obvious: Old people love to vote. “People that don’t give a f— about going to college,” she said.

“Those are the people that are voting. Those are the people that are voting and because of that, that means Bernie is out of the motherf—ing race.” Cardi then had a very important message for all those Berniacs who are so upset that their candidate dropped out that they’re considering not voting out of protest, a move that could potentially keep President Trump in the White House for a second term in the wake of a potentially crippling post-coronavirus recession.

“Now we gotta go for Biden,” she said, admitting she doesn’t know much about the former two-term vice president and longtime senator from Delaware. But that she’s going to read up on his background. “I do not want 45 [Trump] to be president again, now y’all this s– t is very f—ing serious,” she said. “Right now? The state that America is in? We got no time to f—ing play around. You really got to think about yourself. Right now we’re about to motherf—ing go through another recession.”

Bottom line? “It’s time to buckle up,” she said, warning that things are not going to go back to normal after the “Barona virus” [COVID-19] clears up. “If you think that sh–‘s gonna to go back to normal after this Barona Virus disappear, you motherf—ing wrong! Bi— ,we about to enter a recession!” The more than five-minute rant ended with a stern warning from Cardi to anyone who thinks they’re going to get their minimum-wage job back after the historic unemployment spike the nation suffered through over the past month.

“So, whatever job, even at fast food, whatever the f— you’re doing that you’re not doin’ no more, or whatever the f— you’re doin, the people with more experience? They’re gonna try to get the job that you was gettin’,” she said, staring hard into the lens and asking if anyone who is out of work because of the pandemic has seen the checks President Trump promised a month ago after Congress passed a $2 trillion stimulus package. “And guess what? Do you really want 45 to be in charge of the recession?”
