The first part “GONE” is calm, peaceful and slower, while the following one “EAGLES” speeds up, is more dynamic, sharp and overemotional. “GONE+EAGLES” hymns the human connection with the universe, and expresses Monique Barry’s personal experiences of emotional loss and betrayal.
The fusion of electro, folk, and Icelandic-vibe connect onto Monique’s artistry. “GONE+EAGLES” exposes Monique Barry’s unbelievable vocal abilities as she delivers remarkable performance throughout the whole track. Monique takes full inspiration form the biggest artists such as Radiohead, Björk, Portishead, and Róisín Murphy, but creates her unique style.
Monique Barry also released a music video to “GONE+EAGLES” which features outstanding soundscapes, and shots that capture the artist wandering in the water looking for a safe place and confident place where she can find her piece.
