2018 AFC Championship: Jacksonville Jaguars vs. New England Patriots (Predictions)

And then there were four!

Today, the road to the Super Bowl continues as the Jacksonville Jaguars take their talents from North Florida to New England to face Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

Looking at this matchup from afar, it may seem like a one sided game but I see things differently. The Patriots come into the team as one the most successful teams in NFL history and they are looking to expand on their grand history. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is looking for Super Bowl victory number 6 and in order to make that happen, he needs to handle business. Vegas odd makers have the Patriots favored by 7 points. I don’t see things going that way.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have been a surprise to many however I predicted they would have a good season during the preseason. Did I have them in the Super Bowl at that time, No, but I did see them in the playfs. The way the Jags have drafted over the past few weeks, I felt this would be the year they beginning to figure out how to win games. We see they have began to understand the formula.

Today, I believe the key to the game will be the play the Jags defense. I expect Patriots quarterback Tom Brady to pass for 200 yards and 2 touchdowns but to never get into a true rhythm. The Patriots will run the back over 30 times today looking to crack a weakest in Jacksonville’s defense but I don’t see any the Pats running backs having a big day. The matchup Rob Gronkowski and Jalen Ramsey will be won by Ramsey with Gronk only having 4 receptions for under 87 yards.

The Jacksonville Jaguars and their running game will show the world today they are not joke. Rookie running back Leonard Fournette will have a big day rushing for 2 touchdowns and over 130 yards rushing. Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles has received a lot flack but his inconsistent play but today he will be effective. Bortles will pass for over 225 yards with a touchdown. I going with the road team to shock the world today. Stay tuned to HHS1987. Follow @eldorado2452 on Twitter and Instagram for all your sports news.
