Canadian rock icons Sloan are currently on tour supporting their new record 12, but Patrick Pentland will not be joining the band for some of the upcoming shows.
The multi-instrumentalist/vocalist revealed on Twitter that he would have to miss the rest of the gigs this month due to a family illness, insisting “family has to come first.”
Pentland said that his bandmates are supportive of his decision and assured fans that “they will put on a great rock show for those of you fortunate to see them.”

Due to a family illness, I am unable to play the rest of #Sloan12 shows this month. Support from my band/tour mates has been amazing, & I know they will put on a great rock show for those of you fortunate to see them. Family has to come 1st, but I will rejoin the tour very soon.
